The nose is very expressive: very ripe black fruit (blackberry, plum, currant) typical of Monastrell, with marked nuances of Mediterranean undergrowth such as thyme and rosemary, mineral and spicy notes, and toasted and smoky touches of French oak.
In the mouth it is powerful, complex and full-bodied, with round and well-integrated tannins, exceptional balance and a long, enveloping finish with hints of cocoa, sweet spices and balsamic broom and rockrose.
15 - 16ºC.
Casa de la Ermita Parcela Los Pinos Monastrell 2024 is one of the most emblematic and exclusive wines from Bodegas Casa de la Ermita, an undisputed benchmark of the D.O. Jumilla. A wine that comes from a Singular Vineyard with its own name: Parcela Los Pinos, located on the northern slope of the Sierra del Carche, at 700 meters of altitude, on gravel, silt and alluvial sand soils.
Made with 100% organically grown Monastrell grapes, harvested entirely by hand with a rigorous selection in the field and winery. The north face of the mountain range guarantees slow and balanced maturation that preserves the natural acidity and freshness of the fruit, providing an aromatic complexity far superior to other wines in the area.
After the harvest, the wine undergoes traditional vinification followed by aging for 12 months in French oak barrels, which provides structure, complexity and those characteristic toasted and smoky nuances. Bottled without clarifying to preserve all its expression.
