Tasting notes
Nose
Clean and attractive nose, with aromas of red fruit, currant, raspberry, cherry with light herbaceous, menthol notes and a subtle creamy touch.
Palate
In the mouth it is soft, refreshing and friendly, with high-quality, fine, ripe, well-integrated tannins that provide a long and aromatic finish.

Description
It is made mainly with the native variety of the Duero Valley, Tempranillo, and is complemented with other varieties from the estate that are chosen by tasting. The purpose is to balance the particularities of the vintage and preserve the style that characterizes this wine.
Special Selection is a faithful reflection of the vintage, the terroir and the personality of Abadía Retuerta.
2020 vintage:
The winter rains ensured a good start to the cycle. After a warm spring, budding began around mid-April, giving way to a month of May of high temperatures and rain, so the vineyard grew very quickly. The summer was very warm, but the month of September was not excessively hot and was marked by rain, which conditioned the characteristics of the vintage, softer and fresher than the previous vintage.
